Call me crazy but I have to go with the Netherlands today. They didn't show their potential so far but on the other hand, they only faced teams which defended with the whole team against them. Today they meet the Brasilians who couldn't convince either. Okay, they won against Chile but Chile missed two of their most important defenders and have overall not that much quality.
Well, I just don't see this big difference that odds show, so I go with the dog here. The Dutchmen have a small edge in midfield imo, with Bommel and de Jong, who are capable of destroying every offense, as the defensive part, Snejder in the middle and Robben on the wing. I would like to see van Persie on the left wing and Huntelaar up front but maybe a fighter like Kujt is needed today.
So all in all, I take the +191 for Netherlands to advance.

In the other match, I'm backing Uruguay. They showed so far solid performances and seem to be a great-balanced team. Ghana will get the full support by the crowd but I think their story of success will end today. They make too many mistakes in their defense and would be out if the Americans could take their chances. Forlan and Suarez proved that they exploit every opponent's fault.

So of course i am biased in this case but I do not see such a big difference between Germany and Argentina. Everybody says, Argentina will crush everyone, they have Messi, Higuain, Tevez, and so on but how many quality teams did they face so far? Nigeria, Greece, Koreans, Mexico? No one who can really compete with a good team and Argies had of course big luck in their match against Mexico.
So Germany is the dog here but imo they showed the better performances than the Argies even though you could see their unexperience in some cases. But this team grew and still grows, there is much team spirit in this team and that could be the difference in this matchup. Germans fought even with one man and one goal down against Serbia and was just unlucky to score. As I said, I am biased here but I try to be the most objective I can be. Both defenses are the weakness in the team, question is, who can exploit it more.

In the other match, I prefer Paraguay. Not to advance although odds are really nice. But I think they can compete with Spain for at least 90 minutes because of their well-structured defense. The only problem in this team is that they can't score. But the same problem has Switzerland and they managed to score almost twice against Spain. We don't need to talk about the quality of Spain because they just have it but there is just a lack of creativity imo especially when they face tight defenses and this is what they can expect today.
